Get ready for a hands-on, horn-honking good time at the 2026 Plain City Touch a Truck event!
Join us on Friday, June 12, from 5:00–8:00 PM at Pastime Park for an evening packed with big vehicles, family fun, and interactive experiences for all ages.
Climb aboard, explore, and learn about a wide variety of vehicles—from emergency response units and construction equipment to service trucks and more. This is a unique opportunity for kids (and kids at heart!) to get up close, meet the people who operate these vehicles, and discover how they help keep our community running.
In addition to the trucks, enjoy inflatables, delicious offerings from local food and ice cream trucks, and a lively, family-friendly atmosphere throughout the park.
Admission is free, so bring the whole family and don’t miss one of Plain City’s most exciting summer events!
Touch-A-Truck: Polaris Mall
Join us for another exciting KidX event at Polaris Fashion Place! We’ll be in our outdoor Polaris Lifestyle Center space (near Benihana, COhatch, and Cheesecake Factory) for a Touch-A-Truck event from 1-2:30PM. Programming will include an interactive truck playground for families and children to get up close to their favorite vehicles – and other family friendly entertainment!
Touch-A-Truck: Pickerington Public Library
The library's Big Summer Celebration is a free community event including Touch a Truck, a giant petting zoo from Bring the Farm to You, inflatable obstacle course, dunk tank, food trucks, airbrush tattoos, all-ages bingo and trivia, crafts, and more!
Touch-a-Truck: Worthington
Bring the whole family to Touch-A-Truck, where kids can climb, explore, and discover big trucks, emergency vehicles, construction equipment, and more! This hands-on event gives children the chance to meet the professionals who operate these vehicles and learn how they help keep Worthington running. If your little one loves things that go vroom, beep, and zoom, this is the perfect event!

Kids Climb: Westerville Autumn ArborFest
Russell Tree Experts will be hosting a Kids Climb at the Westerville Autumn Arborfest, where they can learn how to climb a tree like an arborist!
About Westeville Autumn Arborfest:
Visit with tree-related vendors and learn about the benefits of trees in Westerville from the Parks and Recreation Arborist.
Native trees and plants will be available for purchase. Activities include tree climbing, limb walk/swing, bucket truck rides and more. View full details in the September/October edition of the Community Guide.
This is a free, family-friendly event for all ages.
Touch-A-Truck: Prairie Township
Come out to the Prairie Township Sports Complex at 1503 Galloway Road and climb around in some of the vehicles that help keep the Township safe and running smoothly.
Touch-a-Truck: Canal Winchester
Check out public works and public safety vehicles from Fairfield County Sheriff's Office, Madison Township Police, Madison Township Fire Department, Franklin County Auditor, Weights & Measures, South Central Power, Ohio Army National Guard, Ohio 811, and City of Canal Winchester!
Additional FREE activities include: balloon animals, inflatable bounce house, face painting by the CW Queens & Court, and more!
Touch-a-Truck: Hilliard
Climb, touch, and take a photo with the trucks you see daily in the community. Visit with our sponsors, play in the Truck Pit, decorate a construction hat, enjoy a balloon twister and face painter, and more!
Touch-a-Truck: Pickerington
Come by the Pickerington Community Pool parking lot to see all your favorite trucks and equipment. Kids will be able to see the ins and outs of all vehicles and receive a free Kids Driver's License.
Tree Giveway: Main Street Delaware First Friday
Russell Tree Experts is giving away 150 free white pine tree saplings!
First Fridays are from 6 pm – 9 pm and each month offers a different themed event, free children’s activities, and businesses stay open late. This is a family time to join your neighbors, walk the shops, eat at local restaurants and enjoy the community that Main Street has helped to rebuild.
First Friday was inspired by the “good old days” in Delaware, when families would take in a movie, have a hamburger at the Hamburger Inn, stop for a soda at the Dime Store and spend time with friends, making memories. We believe Downtown Delaware is still the place to be. First Fridays include a themed event, free children’s activities and businesses stay open late. This is a family time to join your neighbors, walk the shops, eat at local restaurants and enjoy the community that Main Street has helped to rebuild. Arbor Day Tree Giveaway
To celebrate our favorite day (Arbor Day) Russell Tree Experts will be giving away tree saplings to the public on Friday, April 24th 2026! Just stop by Birdie Books in Uptown Westerville to pick up your free tree saplings! Columbus ArborFest is a volunteer-driven event seeking to celebrate the nature of Columbus in a collaboration between the Clintonville Green Team, Green Columbus, Columbus Recreation and Parks, and individual volunteers. Columbus ArborFest is on Saturday, August 23rd, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM and will be filled with awesome exhibitors, delicious food trucks, live music, guided nature walks, hands-on learning, a sustainable pop-up market, an annual tree summit, family friendly fun, and much more! Touch-A-Truck in Powell, Ohio
The focus of Powell’s Touch-a-Truck is to present children with an opportunity to touch, climb on, and pretend to drive vehicles they may see regularly in their community. Not all vehicles are trucks! This event also does double duty by educating youngsters about various aspects of the vehicles, such as their size, function, and more! Historically, we have hundreds of children and their parents attend the event for an afternoon of learning, climbing, and seeing approximately three dozen different vehicles. This is one of the most anticipated events of every spring in Powell.
This year’s Touch-A-Truck is part of COSI’s Science Festival which helps to build a diverse STEM workforce through exposing individuals to science and technology where they live, learn, and lounge.
