"Native Ohio Trees" Workshop

Join us for a 90-minute tree tour through Glacier Ridge Metro Park with José Fernández of Russell Tree Experts. José (ISA Board Certified Master Arborist®) will take you into the woods and introduce you to the many native trees of Central Ohio. You'll learn a TON about each tree (root systems, bark, growth speeds, fruits, and more!) and in the end, you'll have an even greater appreciation for nature and the trees around you! 

On this tour you will: 

  • Learn of tree species native to Central Ohio

  • Learn how to properly identify tree species

  • Learn the importance of proper tree care

  • Experience a beautiful 1-2 mile walk through Glacier Ridge Metro Park

Where: Glacier Ridge Metro Park
When: Saturday, September 22, 10AM
Cost: $15/person (proceeds benefit the TREE FOR A TREE™ program)
Group Size: Maximum of 20 people per tour

Please wear waterproof shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. The workshop will occur rain or shine! If the weather is too inclement for the workshop to occur, the make-up date is scheduled for rain make-up: September 29, 10AM.
